Education Classes
Don't miss the chance to sign up for fall classes at the Zoo!

We have a new adult class on November 14 from 2-4 pm. It's $25 (10% off for Zoo Members). You can learn all about domestication and what makes the difference between wild and domesticated animals. As always, our classes include activities, discussion, and encounters with ambassador animals.

There are also classes for preschoolers through 3rd grade. Classes include age-appropriate games, activities, and animal encounters.

Each class is a little different, so check out their websites to learn more.

Education Boxes

Make the holidays a little more special with a Learning Box!

Right now, you can get a spooktacular Boo Box for some Halloween fun! The Boo Box includes materials and instructions to do a science experiment, a craft, and a scavenger hunt at home, plus an animal plushie and a painting by ambassador animals (bonus: a video about our artists!).

Check back in November for a Christmas Armadillo Box!

Red Panda Reunion

We're thrilled to announce that our red panda mother and cubs have been reunited!

When they were born, one of our red panda cubs had respiratory issues and aspirated when she nursed, so the decision was made to hand-rear her. Vet and Animal Care staff spent the last four months bottle-feeding her with a special "slow-down" bottle so she wouldn't aspirate.

Now that she's older and is being weaned, she was put back in the red panda habitat with Maiya and her sister. Visit the Zoo to see the whole family! The best times to see the red pandas is morning and before close.
Gift of Lights
Gift of Lights, efficiently powered by Indiana Michigan Power, starts November 27 and runs though December 19. Gift of Lights is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 5-9 pm. Join us for this wonderful holiday tradition!
