Investing in the City's Water and Sewer Systems
The City of Camarillo is committed to a fair, equitable, and transparent rate-setting process. Learn more about the City of Camarillo’s infrastructure needs and the rate-setting process at www.cityofcamarillo.org/utilityrates.
If you missed the forum, watch the recording here. The questions asked and answered at the public forum have been transcribed into the FAQs on the City's Utility Rates webpage.
Camarillo’s water and sewer rates have not significantly increased in several years. Currently, the City of Camarillo’s water rates are among the lowest in Ventura County. Even with proposed increases, Camarillo’s water and sewer bills will remain affordable compared to neighboring providers. While we will continue prioritizing affordability for our customers, the City needs to make significant investments now in order to protect and maintain our vital infrastructure.

THANK YOU Coastal Clean Up Day Volunteers!
The 39th Anniversary of California Coastal Cleanup Day was held on September 23, 2023. In Camarillo, volunteers removed trash and recyclables from two locations; Calleguas Creek and the Mission Oaks Park barranca. Volunteers worked hard to stop debris at the source, preventing it from entering our waterways and ending up in our ocean.
Camarillo’s volunteers were part of the countywide event in which volunteers removed trash and recyclables from Ventura County’s beaches, shorelines and inland waterways. Thank you to all of those who dedicated their time to cleaning up and making our environment a better place to live! The City of Camarillo and the California Coastal Commission continue to request that all residents take responsibility for ensuring trash is disposed of properly—securely in a trash can, recycling bin, or a hazardous waste facility when appropriate.
We hope to see you again next year!

City planners are responsible for reviewing site-specific development applications, for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The review process ensures that projects meet the City's architectural, landscaping and development standards and comply with the City's growth ordinance, zoning, and sign codes, and meets all applicable state and federal environmental guidelines. Community planning plays a pivotal role in creating a safe, equitable, and resilient community through thoughtful and strategic planning efforts.
