October Climate Solutions Caucus Round-Up

Dear Stakeholder,

Please see below for highlights from October and a preview of what’s to come.

October Engagement:

Rep. Garbarino with CRES and SEIA members on a tour of local solar operations in NY-02.

  • This past month, Co-Chair Garbarino attended a solar roundtable and facility tour hosted by Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES), highlighting the development of the solar industry in NY-02 local communities.

  • Over the course of October, Caucus staff gathered for a three-briefing series on clean energy tax credits ahead of the 2025 tax year to learn more about existing tax credits, gaps in implementation and guidance, as well as opportunities to alter, expand, or extend the credits. Discussions were mediated by C2ES, and each briefing featured a Q&A with a panel of diverse private sector partners who had experience utilizing tax credits.

Looking Ahead:

In November, Members plan to gather for a discussion on domestic manufacturing and critical mineral supply chains with private sector partners from the transportation sector.

Caucus staff plan to meet in November for updates from COP29 and a broader discussion on international climate finance.

As always, stakeholders are encouraged to approach the Climate Solutions Caucus with priorities and engagement ideas as the 2024-2025 programmatic calendar continues to develop.
