Witches Night Out

Witches Night Out is a popular event with a spin on "Ladies Night Out." Downtown will be taken over by Witches and their "Ghoul Friends" as they stop into local retailers, eateries and drinkeries and have a night on the town.

This event is growing year by year with hundreds of witches taking to the street and visiting each location on the map for samples, bling, and goodies.

With the purchase of a $15 ticket, You will receive a witch’s hat, a spooktacular wand, and all the spooky bling needed to cast a bewitching spell! Tickets available online starting October 1. Quantities are limited. Redeem tickets for a hat and wand (Wand available to the first 400 that register) at the corner of 5th and Valley available at 4:30 pm day of event

Burlington Riverfront Entertainment Brings Scares to the Haunted Auditorium

The Haunted Auditorium returns the last 3 weekends in October with new scares and thrills behind every twist and turn!

Tickets can be purchased online or at the Memorial Auditorium Box Office Tuesday - Friday 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

The Art Center of Burlington gives an inspiring place to get together with friends before you head to your dinner reservations!

Gallery Lounge offers the finest selection of wine, beer, & charcuterie boards in a creative environment in Downtown Burlington, Iowa.

Open 1st & 3rd Fridays of every month all year long from 5-8PM.

During these nights, they offer Art Hop for kids ages 3 and up, next door in the Art Center workshop from 6-7:30PM. They get creative, eat a light snack, and listen to a story if time permits, while you get a little un-interrupted time for a glass of wine.

Burlington Organists Network hosts the 9th Annual Organ Crawl!

Join Downtown for a tour of stained glass windows of two Burlington churches, accompanied by music from local organists. Begin at St. Paul's and walk down the hill to First United Methodist Church.

The Som's Chili Cook Off

Come watch the teams cook up their masterpiece Chili recipes at The Som. Or if you think you have the best Chili recipe, compete to win!

There are two categories Red Chili (with beans or without beans) or Open Category. The Open category consists of literally whatever you would like to cook.



Both categories will be judged on the following criteria: Smell, Thickness, Color, Flavor, Aftertaste. The top three winners of each category will be awarded prizes.

Get a head start on holiday gift buying and register from 10 AM - 4 PM at participating businesses for the giveaway of $1000 in Downtown Dollars. Need not be present to win, winner will be announced on Facebook the week of November 11.

Living Windows

December 5, 5-8 PM

Dozens of storefronts will come alive during the 22nd annual Living Windows celebration on December 5!

This favorite holiday event includes lights, carolers, story readings, crafts, decorations, gingerbread houses, free horse-drawn carriage rides, and much more. And of course, Santa Claus will be on hand at his cottage.

Living Windows includes complimentary food and beverages at many Downtown stores. It's a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping, see friends and enjoy the holiday season.

Downtown Partners, Inc. (DPI) is launching a Fundraiser Campaign. The campaign is a fun way to support Downtown Burlington!

The new Streetscape project means new Downtown décor is needed, so all donations will be going towards new holiday decorations. The first 25 Investors who donate $200+ will receive two (2) V.I.P. second-story indoor seats at The Busted Cup Brewhouse at the 2024 Lighted Holiday Parade on November 30, 2024, as a special donor THANK YOU from Downtown Partners, Inc. The V.I.P. section includes a 4 free drinks, appetizers, and a warm, dry spot to watch the 2024 Lighted Holiday Parade!

Downtown Partners, Inc. Business Signage Grant Program offers applicants up to $300 in matching grant funds for perpendicular “blade” signage for their businesses!

• Emphasizing the Downtown district as a collection of small, independent, locally owned businesses
• Adding to the liveliness of the streetscape
• Freeing up sidewalk space occupied by sandwich board signs
• Encouraging businesses to explore their individuality and examine their branding
• Increasing business visibility for potential customers who would otherwise not know anything about the business unless they were directly in front of it
