Art Lessons

Local artist and owner of The Be Creative Studio, Curtis Wallace, is back at the Clubhouse on Thursdays! Each week, students have the opportunity to work with Curtis on different painting techniques and create masterpieces. Most recently, we've embraced the Fall season by painting jack-o-lanterns underneath a night sky, complete with a full moon.

Community Engagement Orientation with the Washtenaw County Sheriff

Alongside the immediate past Mayor of Ypsilanti, Educate Youth seniors and our Student Success Leader led a training as a part of the 2023 Community Engagement Orientation for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. Their training consisted of a showing of WALKING WHILE BLACK: L.O.V.E. is The Answer, a film by A.J. Ali, and discussions led by youth.

Global generosity movement, Giving Tuesday, will be taking place on Tuesday, November 28th.

Giving Tuesday is traditionally used as a day to support your favorite nonprofit organizations, whether that be through volunteer work, in-kind and monetary donations, or just sharing their mission!

Save the date, and save your dimes, and when November 28th comes around, keep Educate Youth in mind!
