Young Spiritual-But-Not-Religious

If you know any young people who are spiritual but not religious, questioning, or just don't know anymore, please pass this information on to them.
Please note that this event is NOT for St. Austin parishioners, but we'd love you to share this with an young adult who might be interested!
The Late Night/Early Morning Philosophical Party Conversation 
THIS Mon., Sept. 24, 7-8:45 p.m.  
at the Terrazas Branch Austin Public Library, 1105 E. Cesar Chavez St. 
If you're interested in discussing community, philosophy, spirituality, religion, or other forms of personal fulfillment, we'd love to invite out to our event. This is a safe, affirming space to share questions, experiences, and concerns with like-minded people. Please contact K Kriesel for more information.

Blessing of the Animals
Sat., Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.
on the Blacktop

Bring your furry family members and join us for a celebration of the Feast of St. Francis and our annual Blessing of the Animals! All small pets should attend Blessing of the Animals inside their favorite carrier, cage or bowl. Dogs, please bring your humans on a leash! 
For the fifth year, we will be conducting a Pet Food Drive.
Our Pet Food Drive benefits the Pet Food Bank of Austin and Travis County. Dry and canned dog and cat food and other pet supplies are welcome. Click Here to view the Pet Food Bank's current wish list.  
Respect All Life Month 

In October, our faith calls for us to respect all life from conception to natural death. Please be sure to read the Social Justice bulletin articles, which will highlight a pro-life issue each week, and check out the bulletin board in the Narthex.  
Don't forget to pick up a "Baby Bank" as you exit the church. Boxes will be available in October. Money donated to the baby bank campaign supports our Gabriel Project ministry. The Gabriel Project Baby Shower donation crib will also be by the St. Joseph Altar Oct. 14-Oct. 28.   
Respect Life Baby Shower

Help St. Austin and the Gabriel Project ministry kick off Respect Life Month and our annual baby drive with a baby shower!  Sponsored by St. Austin, Gabriel Project, and Notre Dame Women Connect of Austin, all are invited to join us for food, games, and fellowship, and to meet Moms and Angels currently involved in St. Austin's Gabriel Project ministry.   
An RSVP is requsted but not required. To RSVP, contact Nancy at 512-417-8309 or  
Baby gifts will be accepted at the party but are not required. If you'd like to bring a gift, click here to visit St. Austin's Gabriel Project Baby Registry at Target. The Gabriel Project baby drive accepts clean, gently used infant and nursery items as well as new items. 
Lots of help is needed for this event! Click here to learn about opportunities to assist with the Baby Shower. Volunteer to help decorate, donate your time to help the party run smoothly, or bring food to share!
New Lector Training Session
Do you feel called to be a lector at Mass? A training session for new lectors and for any veteran lectors who would like a refresher will be held on  Thurs., Oct. 18 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Church. Those wishing to participate  must  complete the Diocese of Austin Ethics & Integrity in Ministry compliance before attending the training session. Contact Dr. Andrea Pobanz, Director of Liturgy & Music, for more information.
