October, the last month for Tysen's Mission To A Million
With just under a month to go on an incredible five-year journey, there are only 29 days to go in Tysen’s mission to raise one million dollars to help wish it forward and be able to adopt 100 wishes for 100 children dealing with serious illnesses in Eastern Ontario. While Tysen is very close to the conclusion of his mission, he needs our help more then ever to make sure that his mission is accomplished. As it stands right now he is roughly $200,000 away from his goal. When Tysen was asked why it was so important for him to meet his self-imposed October 29 th , 2018 deadline he answered

“Raising a million dollars in five years is a goal that I set for myself. Reaching my goal represents that I have succeeded and achieved what I set myself up to do. I got to experience first hand the impact a wish can have on a child and that impact continues to affect me daily. I hate knowing that other kids living with critical and life-threatening illnesses like myself are currently waiting for their wish. Reaching my goal would help me adopt 29 more wishes in Eastern Ontario.”

Now until the end of October, Saunders Farm is hosting a corn maze in the design of Tysen's logo. This five kilometer maze with education stops along the way has to to be seen to be believed.

Let’s help Tysen complete his mission, please spread the word and donate at missiontoamillion.ca. As Tysen would say “Dream big or go home.”
Makaya's Wish
“We would like to express our gratitude to the Make-A-Wish foundation and everyone who took part in creating this wonderful space for our family. The team had put in long hours and hard work in bringing the wish to life. What an incredible thing you do for children who have survived cancer, and for those who were not as lucky. Makaya was one of the lucky ones, this room will be a constant reminder of how precious life is, and how we should not take it for granted. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.”

Kids For Wish Kids
Through fundraising managed by kids, “Kids For Wish Kids” helps to increase awareness of what Make-A-Wish does. But most of all, it gives kids hands-on experience in fundraising, volunteer work and empowers them to help other children in need.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario is honored to be the
Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs charity of choice.
The OAPC has committed to a 10-year plan to raise funds and contribute $250,000 to an endowment legacy fund benefiting Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario.
In addition to the $250,000 endowment fund, the annual interest will help ensure that one wish a year is granted in honour of the OAPC’s dedication and commitment to the mission of creating life-changing wishes to children with a critical illness. As of 2018, OAPC has contributed over $150,000 to the Wishes Forever fund.
OAPC’s dedication, compassion, and overall caring nature has proved to be a great source of inspiration for not only our foundation, but also for all the wonderful people involved in helping to make a child’s wish come true.

Thank you OAPC for your generous involvement in our foundation.
