I recently had the chance to see the documentary film Almost Sunrise, which  follows two Iraq veterans who struggle with depression upon returning home from service. The film begins as the two veterans set on a 2,700 mile walk across the country in search of healing, which they eventually do find.

Beginning on Veteran's Day and through Memorial Day, Almost Sunrise  is available for community screenings and as a tool for community dialogue across the country.

The filmmakers are eager to show this film at Elks Lodges, and to connect the Elks with local Student Veterans organizations.
