Mindy Piatz, Market Segment Lead - Bismarck
Tell us about yourself.
I was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. My husband, Jesse (who is also from Bismarck), and I enjoy living in the same community we grew up in and being close to our families. I attended North Dakota State University for college – go Bison! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and going to concerts.
Tell us about your experience.
I began my journey in public accounting while in college working at Fiebiger, Swanson & West, who Brady Martz & Associates would later merge with in Fargo. There was a time when I prepared business and individual tax returns at BMA; however, that was short lived and I have worked in the Audit & Assurance department for the vast majority of my career, specializing in working with government and nonprofit clients.
Describe your family.
Jesse and I have been married for 17 years. We have three daughters and a beloved lab named Ruger. Kristin and Kendall (twins) are 13 and Hannah is nine. Fall sports have just ended, so our winter season will be busy with basketball as all three girls play.
What's a little-known fact about you?
Some people might know this, but I am a twin. My identical twin sister lives in Fargo, so be warned, if you’re in Fargo and see me, it’s likely not me. My twin daughters are the fourth straight generation of twins on my mom’s side of the family.
What is your favorite thing about working at BMA?
There are two things I enjoy about BMA - the people and the work. I have met some great people during my career, both coworkers and clients, that have had a profound impact on me and helped me grow as a person. I also enjoy the variety of work and that there is always something new to work on, learn about, and improve upon.
