Assistant Professor Elina Kyriakidou
Awarded $1.2M from U.S. DOE-NREL
Dr. Elina Kyriakidou will lead a $1.2 million U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) – National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) project   for low temperature CH 4  conversion by developing a novel after treatment system for future natural gas vehicles using palladium-based catalysts.

Andreadis was nominated by his students for his outstanding efforts to ensure student productivity in research, and support in future career placement.

The award is given on an annual basis to faculty who not only excel in mentoring of their postdoctoral scholars, but also in serving as an advocate, advisor and positive role model during the period of direct training and most often, in the following years.
Student Achievement
Noah Seiler won 2nd place in Nationwide AIChE Student Co-op Presentation Competition
UB CBE Undergraduate student Noah Seiler competed in the 2019 AIChE Virtual Local Section (VLS) student competition , where undergraduate student co-ops and interns presented on their experience in September. Finalists had 10 minutes to present the results of their summer or co-op project and answer questions from a live audience. Seiler worked as a Process (Chemical) Engineering Co-Op employee at McGard LLC during the spring 2019 semester and stayed with the group through the summer.
