News From Santa Clara
ISHOF continues to make progress on its plans to relocate to Santa Clara, within a new Santa Clara Recreation and Community Center and George Haines International Aquatic Center. Within the past month, two events have helped push the project forward: The Santa Clara City Council approved moving forward with the architectural and design documents and USA Swimming named the San Jose-Santa Clara, CA
, area earned the No. 1 position as America's Top Swim City for the first time ever, according to a third-annual study commissioned by USA Swimming and leading swimwear company Speedo USA.
Meanwhile, ISHOF continues to operate in it's historic location of Fort Lauderdale, while that city determines the future status of its pools.

We survived Hurricane Matthew
The historic ISHOF museum building escaped again. Hurricane Matthew stayed offshore and we were spared the threat to our collection. Yes, the museum is still open for business, but it will be closed for annual inventory and display changes from October 17 through November 11th.
