Teeing Off for a Good Cause
This month, we hope you'll take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and spend some time on the golf course - all for a good cause! In lieu of our annual Oconee County Golf Tournament we hare hosting a month-long virtual golf tournament. This way, no matter where in our region you live or your plans for the upcoming Saturdays, you have plenty of time and places to participate while supporting United Way of Northeast Georgia.

We are so thankful for our incredible sponsors including:
Event Sponsors
Leon Farmer & Co. and Oglethorpe Power
Course Sponsors
BankSouth, Caterpillar, Fortson Bentley & Griffin, Golden Pantry, McLane, Piedmont Healthcare, and St. Mary's Health Care System
Tee Sponsor
Pinnacle Bank

We also encourage you to register for our tournament alongside other local charity golf tournaments to support multiple organizations across our region. One great idea is to sign up for the Heroes Classic Tournament in Braselton, supporting American Red Cross. You can sign up via our Eventbrite and receive a $100 discount for a team of four! It's a win-win.

Power of
the Purse

Donations needed for the event's online auction
We want your new or gently used purses for our upcoming Power of the Purse online auction! Each year, as part of Power of the Purse, we hold an auction featuring beautiful purses and this year is no different. Do you have a new or gently used purse at home that you don't use? Consider donating them to Women United to use in our online auction for our Power of the Purse event. This auction will raise money for early childhood literacy, specifically for our Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programs. Thank you for your support and your donation. Registration for the event will be live soon - check our website and social channels.

If you are interested in donating an item, please email Alison Geist at ageist@unitedwaynega.org or Kay Keller at kkeller@unitedwaynega.org.
