National Retirement Security Week 2019
National Retirement Security Week (NRSW), is just a few weeks away, occurring during the week of October 20-26. The National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) promotes NRSW to help encourage people to save for retirement. They've created some videos to help you promote it to your staff. If they're just starting out you can send them the  Early Career link . If they have a few years in, send them the  Mid-Career link . For those nearing retirement, send them the  Late Career link .
Many Ways to Learn About Finance with Ohio DC
Addressing financial topics with your employees can be difficult, especially if finance is a topic that they're not comfortable with. One of the things we've learned at Ohio DC is that different people absorb and process information differently, especially something they think is complicated, like finance. The article at this link will help your employees understand that Ohio DC provides many different options for learning about finance and saving for retirement.

How Many Pay Periods Will You Have This Year?
Based on when your organization provides paychecks to your staff, you may have 27 pay periods this year. Be sure to check with your payroll department to confirm how many pays you will have in 2019, as we will have to take this into account at Ohio DC. Based on IRS guidelines, we need to make sure that employees aren't deferring too much into their Ohio DC account.  If your organization will have 27 pays this year, Ohio DC staff will be reaching out to you soon, if we identify employees whose annual deferrals could exceed the IRS limits.
