Dover400, a committee organizing Dover’s 400th Anniversary, is pleased to announce Kennebunk Savings has donated $2,500 to support the City’s milestone birthday in 2023. These funds will be dedicated to the varied experiences being considered for the celebration event.

Art Show and Sale, by world renowned Artist Robert Roché |
The Woodman Museum will present a month long an Art Show and sale, of works by the world-renowned Artist Robert Roché, featuring many never-before seen works.
The show will take place at the Woodman Museum’s Thom Hindle Gallery at 15 Summer Street from October 23-November 22, 2020. Opening night viewing is October 23, 2020 from 5pm-8:00pm, regular exhibit hours are from 10am-3:30pm Wednesday – Sunday.

‘Walker Way’ unveiled at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital
While President & CEO Gregory Walker will retire from his position on October 31 after 24 years of dedicated leadership, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital leadership came together on October 14, to unveil a street sign – appropriately named “Walker Way” to honor his legacy. Accessible from Central Avenue, Walker Way follows Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Emergency Department entrance until it meets Old Rollinsford Road.

Calling All Cargo Moving and Storage was named the No. 20 best company to work for by Business NH Magazine. 14 years in the business now, President Mike Carlton has 16 full-time employees and a whole lot more that are temporary or seasonal. Through a survey, the employees revealed that they were encouraged to learn and develop skills while on the job, and they could trust their management while doing so.

Eversource wins environmental award for Seacoast Reliablity Project in Little Bay
Eversource announced it has been recognized by the Environmental Business Council of New England for its commitment to safeguarding the ecological health of Little Bay, an environmentally sensitive estuary located in Durham and Newington, while completing the submarine cable crossing portion of the Seacoast Reliability Project.

Great Bay Services Trail Tale
Walk the Dover Community Trail beginning at the Dover Rotary Trailhead, 33 Chestnut Street, Dover, NH. Along the route read signs and scan QR codes to learn more about the story of GBS and how their clients are a valuable and integrated part of our communities. The codes link to interviews with GBS guardians, clients and staff who talk about many aspects of Great Bay Services. The event takes place from November 1st through the 7th.
