The Village of Frankfort

The Village of Frankfort invites residents and visitors to enjoy Home for the Holidays on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14, from 12 to 5 PM in downtown Frankfort. This free, family-friendly celebration transforms Breidert Green and the surrounding area into a festive holiday destination with sparkling décor, seasonal music, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere. Guests can stroll the decorated streets, shop for unique gifts in local boutiques, and enjoy holiday treats from Frankfort’s restaurants and cafés.

Saturday offers a full lineup of festive activities, including horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, real reindeer encounters, a trackless train, the charming lantern parade, and plenty of hot cocoa and cookies. On Sunday, visitors can enjoy live holiday performances on the Breidert Green stage and meet strolling costumed characters spreading cheer throughout downtown.

Adding to the fun, the Downtown Frankfort Business Alliance will host its popular Cookie Crawl on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM, co-sponsored by the Village. Mayor Keith Ogle shared that Frankfort’s downtown feels “like a Hallmark movie” during the event, reflecting the warmth and spirit of the community.

All activities are free, weather-dependent, and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For event updates and full activity details, visit our Website or follow the Village of Frankfort on Facebook.

Goldy Locks

Doorbell cameras are one of the easiest ways to add security and convenience to your home or business, but not all systems protect your privacy. Many big box brands, including some of the most popular ones, collect and sell user data to third parties. Goldy Locks offers professionally installed doorbell cameras that keep your information private and secure. Your footage stays encrypted and accessible only to you, without hidden data sharing. Our systems integrate seamlessly with smart home devices and provide clear, real-time alerts you can trust. Choose Goldy Locks for reliable protection, local support, and true peace of mind.

Visit Goldy Locks for more information.

The Frankfort Public Library District

  • Lincoln-Way East Madrigals Performance on Sunday, November 30 at 2pm. The Madrigals are back! Join us for an hour of wonderful choral pieces from the Lincoln-Way East Madrigals. We filled the whole room last year, so get here early to make sure you have a seat!

  • Community Wishing TreeDecember 1-23. The concept of wishing trees emerged around the world because trees are a universal symbol of hope, life, and resilience. They are found in many different cultures with varying rituals, but what they have in common is a place where people reconnect with what truly matters to them. Visit our Community Wishing Trees in the Library's West End this holiday season. Write your wish on one of the provided paper stars, then hang it on one of the trees.

  • Christmas Surprise Storytime on Sunday, December 7 at 3p. Kick off the holiday season by coming to this fun Christmas program! We'll have stories, carols, silly jokes and a craft, as well as a visit from a special guest. (You'll never guess who!)
