October HMIS CALENDAR

Important details for HUD Universal Assessment!

Many of you have pointed out an issue with HMIS that causes the wrong questions to populate on the HUD Universal Assessment during the Entry workflow. In some situations, when answers are given indicating that a client is not staying in a literal homeless situation, HMIS will still prompt you to answer the "Approximate Date this Episode of Homelessness Started."

We have reported this issue with our software vendor and are working diligently with them to resolve this as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, please use the following workaround if you encounter this issue:

If you encounter this issue, please enter 01/01/1900 as the Approximate Date Episode Started, and then continue the workflow as usual. This date will flag an error to this HMIS Team so that it can be removed once the error has been resolved. No further action by your agency will be needed beyond that.

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused. We will notify our users once this has been corrected. Please let us know if you have any questions about this matter.

Request for agencies with RRH projects!

Does your agency have at least one Rapid Rehousing project?

If your project is listed as a RRH in HMIS, and does not provide direct rental assistance to clients, please submit a ticket to HMIS indicating that your "RRH does not provide rental assistance."

The HMIS Team is trying to determine which, if any, of our community projects falls under a new project subtype. Once we receive your ticket, someone from our team will reach out to determine if we need to reclassify the project in HMIS.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us!

Attention HMIS Security Officers!

Reminder! The Security Self-Audits have been changed!

HMIS Security Officers can breathe a sigh of relief this month, because the Quarterly Security Self-Audits will no longer include the Client Data Sections! These audits will now only include the Agency and Workstation sections, with the Client Data Accuracy checks being moved to the new Data Quality Monitoring process, which will start in January.

Keep an eye on your inboxes for more news regarding your audits. Any questions can be sent to Ashley.Boyer@havenforhope.org.

Planned Code Migrations

This month's Code Migrations are currently scheduled for:

Tuesday October 10th - 8pm CST
