Dear Friends and Art Patrons,

Is your year speeding by? I always feel that it goes from Halloween to New Year’s Eve in a blink of an eye. To that end, I have slowed my pace down, working on my paintings and ideas more deliberately, with as much “head” as “heart” in them. Sometimes I succeed.

As working artists we get stuck in the "what's next" so often; next class, next show, next painting due at a gallery. What’s now is NOW. Now my ideas are percolating, germinating and being born. I am planning a big series for next year in conjunction with my town that I am very excited about. I am forcing myself out of doors and experimenting with different ways to see. Looser, bigger, more…

I’ve rearranged my studio and even it feels freer.

Stay tuned!

-Jeri
