Living with the Unforeseen 

Bob and Gail were looking forward to the next chapter of their lives, having raised a family, they looked forward to coming together as a couple to relax, travel and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Early onset  Alzheimer's was not in their plan. Read their inspirational story HERE

The 7th Annual Art Show was enjoyed by all, with approximately 150 in attendance.  We raised  $5,100   at the Art Show. We  send heartfelt thanks to all our inspiring  OPICA  artists  for generously donating their art. We also thank our volunteers, without whom this event would not be possible.


Reiki is used in over 800 hospitals nationwide and is gaining respect as an alternative and integrative medical technique

Thea Annya Nathan, founder of the Reiki Training Institute and a Certified Reiki Master will discuss how Reiki calms the nervous system and facilitates deep relaxation.  

Ms. Nathan will entertain questions from the audience.  This event is FREE OF CHARGE and open to the general public, made possible by the generous support of OPICA's donors.

Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Seminar

OPICA is proud to provide the opportunity to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP).

This 8-hour workshop for health care professionals is the required seminar for CDP┬« certification. Please visit the NCCDP website at www.nccdp.org to learn more about the process or feel welcome to join us just for the education.
