Greetings T&C Families and Friends,

It’s hard to believe our fall season is already more than halfway over— especially with the recent summer-like temperatures!

I hope you and your families are enjoying an exciting and fun season so far.

This week, we are celebrating Coach Appreciation Week, culminating in Coach Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 18th. I want to take a moment to sincerely thank all our coaches and volunteers. Town & Country simply wouldn’t be possible without you. You are the heart and soul of our programs and the reason T&C is such a special place for our children to play, grow, and learn.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our 10th annual 'Help Every Kid Play' Golf Tournament. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go directly toward scholarships for kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in organized youth sports. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this year’s event another great success!

Looking ahead, our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat is right around the corner! We hope you’ll join us for a spooky good time. Whether you want to decorate a trunk or simply enjoy the fun as a trick-or-treater, we’d love to have you. Please see the details below or visit the Events page on our website for more information.

Still to come this year is our 4th annual Turkey Trot Family Fun Run— a perfect way to get the whole family moving and burn off a few holiday calories!

Here at T&C we are always striving to provide a safe environment for our kids and families. Unfortunately, due to continued parking violations impacting the safe flow of traffic through our parking lots, T&C Sports has contracted with a towing service to begin removing vehicles parked in no parking areas.

Vehicles will be removed from tow away zones marked by painted hash marks, fire lanes, disabled parking without permits, hindering egress or ingress, areas marked as no parking, and any other causes identified by T&C as a risk. This will apply to all parking lots at T&C Sports. 

Please take care and be safe. 

Town and Country Optimist Club, Board, and T&C staff members will be on-site cookin’ up some free hot dogs 🌭 for coaches along with lemonade 🍋🥤 and Kona Ice will be offering free snow cones to our coaches as well! Keep any eye out for Frio Pops as they will be offering $1 off to all T&C coaches too! 🍧

All nominated coaches will be entered into a random prize drawing — three lucky winners will be selected after Coach Appreciation Day!

We’re teaming up once again with our sports and T&C Community, Sponsors, Forest North Elementary, and Live Oak Elementary, plus our neighborhood friends, NASWC, and the Jollyville Fire Department! Expect decorated trunks, games, candy, and FREE Halloween fun for the whole family. 

We can’t wait to see everyone Sunday, October 26th and hope to make this year’s trunk or treat one of our best yet!

Oct 1 - Nov 1: Fall Photo Contest

T&C Sports is hosting a community photo contest! Join us in celebrating youth sports by sharing your best photos of your players having fun during the current fall season at T&C Sports!

The contest is currently underway and will run until November 1st. On Monday, November 3rd, two Grand Prize Winners will be chosen to receive Amazon Gift Cards!

September 29: Help Every Kid Play Golf Tournament

T&C’s ‘Help Every Kid Play’ golf tournament raised more than $16,000 for financial assistance scholarships so that all kids have a chance to play sports at T&C.

T&C has partnered with San Antonio Youth Basketball League (or SYBL) for 35 years. SYBL encourages respectful competition, fosters a supportive team environment and celebrates young athletes who embodies the spirit of the game. Last week, October 10th, we had the opportunity to join headquarters in San Antonio at the Frost Bank Center for a directors meeting.

At this meeting we met likeminded programs that want to teach not only basketball skills but also life lessons that prepare the next generation for success. In this meeting we not only got a sneak peak of the Jerseys for the upcoming season, but we also got to brainstorm on ways to get our young athletes to have more fun!

We will be doing a SYBL team of the week, EOS tournament where T&C will choose 1 team to represent us in San Antonio, possible meet and greets and of course discounts on tickets (both Austin and San Antonio Spurs games.) We are looking forward to using all that we learned at the meeting to give parents, coaches, and players a great season!
