OCTOBER NEWS

β€œWhen everyone plays and has passion for each other, man, that's when you really have a chance to be great as a team. Without it, I don't know how football even works."

Greetings T&C Families and Friends,

Wow! It’s hard to believe this fall season is over half completed and Halloween is just around the corner. It seems like summer just ended only a week or so ago. Although this summer was extremely hard on our grass and fields, some timely rain has helped. I hope you have all been enjoying a great fall season.

There is always lots of things going on at Town and Country and this October is no exception. Along with all the fall sports we have several special events coming up.

Coach Appreciation Day is this Saturday, October 21st. Please remember to show your appreciation and thank your coaches this week. We all love our coaches and without their time and dedication T&C would not be the special place it is.

We have our β€œHelp Every Kid Play” Charity Bowling Tournament scheduled for this Sunday October 22nd at Highland Lanes. This is our big fundraising event which raises money for our financial assistance program. If you have not already signed up, there is still time. Bring the whole family and come play with us. It is for a great cause and will be a lot of fun.

A new event this year will be our first ever Trunk or Treat event Saturday October 28th. We hope to have many of our T&C families come out and join us. If you are interested in participating either as a trunk provider or as a Trick-or-Treater, remember to check out the T&C Events page for additional information and to sign up.

Many of you will be playing your end-of-season tournaments in the next few weeks. I wish you all good luck! Remember to play hard, play fair, and have fun!!

Registration is currently open for the winter Basketball season and will open for our spring sports in the next couple weeks. Sign up early to guarantee your spot as some sports have limited availability.

I want to thank all of you for being a part of T&C. I look forward to seeing you all around campus and at some of the upcoming special events.

Volleyball

Volleyball is wrapping up their season. Cheer them on this Saturday morning at Canyon Vista Middle School for their end of season games. Great job to everyone who helped make this season another one to remember!

Soccer

Update from Rich Swain, our Soccer Director:

Perfect timing, finally some Soccer weather for the final 3rd of the fall season. It’s great to see the players having so much fun during their games at the weekend.

A huge thank you to the volunteer coaches and parents for creating an amazing environment for the kids, lots of happy smiley faces.

Registration for the Spring Recreational Soccer season will open later this month, along with our U8-U10 Academy program. We have over 35 Select teams representing T&C at various levels of play here across Central Texas, many of these teams are doing very well in their respective divisions putting our name on the map as a serious soccer club.

ο»Ώ

On Nov 10-12th we will be hosting our end-of-season Fall 2023 Challenge Tournament for U9-U19 teams. This tournament is open (see links below) to T&C teams along with teams from other clubs so please help us spread the word. Have a great end to the fall season.
