QUICK LINKS

October heralds the start of autumn, a moment to appreciate our harvest. It's also a good time to think about what you'd like to be harvesting next year, so that you can put a plan in place
to make that happen. Has this year brought you what you wanted? And if not, how can you ensure that you plant a bumper crop of wishes to be fulfilled over the next year?

If you haven't done the Process, that's a great way to let go of the past and create a new future. If you have, then there are a few places left on our Q2 3-day  intensive this month which is designed to help you find out what's not working in your current life; using the Process techniques you'll  leave with new insights on how to go forward.

If you don't have three days to spare you could try a Reconnection Day which will refresh the Process magic and send you home with a spring in your step and a new perspective - and maybe some new friends too.

This month's theme is parenting and one of the most common points to come up is the importance of presenting a good relationship model to your children. So whether you've done the Process or not, you may want to consider one of our upcoming workshops for  both couples and singles.  Our next Couples Workshop is on Saturday 10th December and the next Singles Workshop is on Saturday 21st January - both in Bloomsbury, London.

Remember if you'd like to put your toe in the water and get some practical experience of the Process then you can try our next Introduction Day on Saturday October 29th.

We really enjoyed seeing so many of you at our Summer Party last month. Your Zumba dancing was a triumph as was the singing around the bonfire - we won't mention the singing in the rain during a very wet afternoon on the bouncy castle! It was all enhanced by the lovely affirmation boards from Katie Phillips, who features in Soul & Spirit magazine this month. More on that below, plus a wonderful description from actress Thandie Newton on what the Process meant to her.

Wishing you a month of creative brilliance

Thandie Newton Hoffman is about a NEW start                                                      Back to Top

18 months after completing the Hoffman Process, Actor & Director Thandie Newton delivered a TED talk (The best website for Talks/Performances and conferences) and spoke about her experience of 'Otherness' especially as a child growing up in 2 distinct cultures.

She describes her journey towards embracing this 'Otherness' & in so doing finds acceptance & understanding for her True Self. This truly inspiring talk will particularly resonate with those of you who have done the Hoffman Process. Thandie feels passionately about the benefits of the Process & describes her experience as follows:

"Hoffman is about a NEW START. This beautifully researched, & ingenious process allows you to discover the painful baggage that has weighed you down & compromised your happiness. Hoffman guides you into finding that personal, unique pain & successfully, triumphantly supports you into letting it go. The closest thing I can compare it to is giving birth, it's as life changing as that. It's giving birth to your adult self & starting to live with consciousness, awareness & a joy that you never knew was possible."

Thank you Thandie for being willing to share your experience with others. By speaking out about Hoffman & letting people know of the many benefits, together we can help achieve Bob Hoffman's vision of creating peace in the world, one person at a time...

Katie describes the Process as a 'life-altering personal journey' which helped her to find her new creative direction and find a much more intuitive way of working.

'Doing Hoffman completely changed my outlook on life; I walked away from the course feeling more certain than ever of who I was...'

Some of you will have seen her beautiful 'mood boards' which she brought to Florence House for our Summer Party, showcasing some of her favourite positive affirmations. She has already expanded these to homeware, clothes, stationery and cards on her website: www.daringandmighty.com

Hoffman Graduates - Nikki Wyatt interviews Coralie Rose                                       Back to Top

POSITIVE PARENTING: Parenthood can make many of us more aware of family patterns. Either because we're contemplating starting a family and are concerned about passing on negative patterns or because we've become parents, promising ourselves that we'll do it differently, then we notice the very same phrases tripping off our tongues that we heard from our own parents.

Making a Fresh, Positive Start
Coralie Rose
Coralie Rose
Doing Parenting Differently
Actress Coralie Rose did the Process in May 2010 when she was 5 months pregnant with her first child. Coralie had suffered with depression since she was a teenager and decided that she wanted to understand the root cause without doing years of therapy or managing it with anti-depressants.  She was also concerned that the pregnancy might adversely affect her moods.  The baby felt like a blank canvas and she wanted a fresh start for both of them.   She says: 'As soon as I started filling out the pre course work I knew I'd found what I was looking for. The Process helped me understand why I react the way I do to certain situations and gave me the awareness to notice when this was happening - that was exactly what I wanted. I learned that even the really challenging parts of the Process made me grow stronger -  like  life - it was a fantastic lesson as I've stepped into parenthood. The Process also allowed me to forgive myself for my mistakes. As a result I'm much more tolerant and compassionate with myself, my husband and my mother, who often looks after our son. Indeed my relationship with my mother has become so much closer that I love to work with her in her jewellery business between acting projects.

How Process Techniques Can Keep You On Track
On the Process you learn techniques to sustain a high level of self-awareness and to support you on a daily basis through the ups and downs of life.... Read More...

3 Day Graduate Intensive - 7th - 9th October - Friday to Sunday                                Back to Top

Are you feeling a bit jaded and missing that special Hoffman connection?

Here at Hoffman, we've been busy revamping and improving the much loved 3-day Q2 and are very excited to offer you a new and enhanced experience. So come along to Florence House this October 7th - 9th, 2011 and polish up your diamond essence!

The Q2 allows you to build upon your Process work, providing an opportunity to explore some of the areas that you wish to investigate further. It enables you to focus on a particular relationship or challenge what is relevant to your life right now, as well as deepening your Process experience. Unlike the Process, where you have so much past to deal with, the Q2 gives you the gift of focusing on the present and how patterns are affecting you now.

'I was expecting the Q2 to be a refresher course but I also found it very beneficial for working on specific issues. It enabled me to gain much greater insight into my patterns in the context of my current relationships.' Shawn, Psychologist & Trauma Specialist, Brighton

Learn to integrate your spiritual self into everyday life

Tips for ongoing maintenance of your Quadrinity

Focus on how to heal unmet childhood needs

Create more connection and intimacy in all of your relationships

Remember that you can do the Q2 with partners, friends or siblings and the preparatory work can be done in your lunch break! Just a few places left, so book soon if you'd like to  join us.

Support Call - Living your Vision - Wednesday 12th October                                      Back to Top

Is the vision of your life clear to you and are you living it?

Of course for all of us fallable human beings, it will be true to some extent or another that we are not, at least in some way, living the life we truly want to.

Maybe we're close, maybe we're miles away and have lost track. Either way, the next Support call on October 12th is a great opportunity to take a compassionate and deep look at how we may have drifted into a life scripted by our childhoods rather than fulfilling our passionate potential. Maybe your intellect has ruled the roost a bit when it's come to planning the diary. Or maybe it's your emotional self that has dominated. Whatever the case, this call will be a perfect opportunity to find balance, revisit Hoffman tools and connect to the wonderful Hoffman community of fellow travellers. Take a bold step into living the life you truly want to... Come aboard..!
