Trivia Time: Dialed in

Which of the following radio shows caused widespread panic when it originally aired in 1938?
"War of the Worlds"
"Arsenic and Old Lace"
"Lights Out"
"The Blair Witch Project"

Answer Below

Professional live radio actors huddle around an old-fashion radio to listen in.

The infamous 1938 broadcast adapted from the H.G. Wells' novel, "War of the Worlds", aired on Oct. 30. A number of people who tuned into the show late thought the earth was actually under attack by Martians, thanks to the pseudo-documentary storytelling style of the broadcast.

Come experience this historic broadcast for yourself at the live reenactment of "War of the Worlds" from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1 at the Aurora Center for Active Adults, 30 W. Del Mar Circle. Professional actors use a variety of props to help recreate the magic of a radio show. Tickets are $10 for Aurora residents and $13 for non-residents. Purchase your tickets today at AuroraPROS.org/WorldsRadioShow.
