Remembering Tivador (Ted) Szabo


We would like to take a moment to remember chamber member Ted Szabo who lost his battle with cancer in the beginning of September.

Ted was an active member of the community and several Chambers of Commerce. He was an involved father at Resurrection High School where his daughter attends.

Ted was a lifelong Northwest side resident.

Business Robberies


Stefani Bottega in Gladstone Park on Chicago’s NW Side reportedly hit again. Many area restaurants have been burglarized in recent months.

In the 6000 block of N. Milwaukee on Sep. 29 at approx. 2:55 a.m., at least one unknown offender broke a window of a commercial business, entered and took property from within, according to Chicago police. There are no offenders in custody, area detectives are investigating, police said.

The City of Chicago helps support business and neighborhood vitality through Small, Medium and Large Community Development Grant (CDG) awards. CDGs use proceeds from the 2024 Housing and Development Bond and other funding sources to support a variety of eligible, business-related investments that create and maintain jobs and quality-of-life improvements for local residents.
