Church-wide Work Day
SATURDAY, November 3,  8:00AM - 12NOON. We will start the morning off with a family breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 7:30am. 

JOIN US FOR A MINI PACKING PARTY 
ON OCT. 12. ALL SUPPLIES PROVIDED
"Mini OCC Packing Party" on October 12 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.  We will put together and pack about 200 shoebox es. We will have all the supplies along with the boxes - we just need to people to come and help us.   Please bring your favorite finger food to share. Childcare will be provided for children that are 3 and under. All ages are welcome.

Preschool/Children's Ministry

Children's Missions Walk-A-Thon at Bates Memorial Stadium
October 3
Children's Missions (Mission Friends, RAs, and GAs) will be raising money again this year for our sponsorship of two children in Ethiopia through the Hope In View program. Mission Friends will meet in their classrooms at 5:45pm. RAs and GAs will meet at the stadium at 5:45pm. Watch for more information on Wednesday nights and on the RA and GA Facebook pages!

RA Campout - Oct. 19 & 20

AOKs (Acts of Kindness) (1st - 6th Grade)
Wednesday, Oct. 3. Room F309 (3rd floor of F Building) immediately following school for an Act of Kindness. Please pick children up at 5pm. 

JAM (Jesus & Me Breakfast & Devotion)
Join us Tuesday mornings in the Multipurpose Room at 7am. For 1st through 6th graders - children will have breakfast and a devotion time. They will be taken to school after the devotion time.

Operation Christmas Child
STEP 1: Pick up your shoeboxes from the Fellowship Hall, Wors hip  Center, the 2nd  & 3rd floors of F building and the  Multipurpo se Room.  
STEP 2: S elect a quality "wow" item such as doll, soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal.  
STEP 3: Fill the rest of the box with other fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies.
REMEMBER: 
We will gather in November to pray over  the boxes and have dinner together.

Awana will not meet Oct. 7 for Fall Break.

Sr. Adult Game Day & Covered Dish Luncheon
Thursday, October 4, Fellowship Hall, 10:00am.  Bring a covered dish and join us for a fun-filled time of  fellowship, playing games, and a delicious pot-luck lunch.

Coffee County Baptist Association Senior Adult Luncheon
Tuesday, October 23, 11:00am, HBC Fellowship Hall $10 per person, RSVP by Oct. 17.

Trip to Aplin Farms
We are taking the children from the Alabama Baptist Children's Home to Aplin Farms on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 3:00pm. Activities include a wagon ride, corn maze and pumpkin patch.

Sr. Adult Lunch & Learn: Kindred Home Health
Thursday, October 18, 10:00am-12:00pm, in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be provided. 

The Sound of Music Shakespeare Theatre:  Saturday, Nov. 17
Matinee begins at 2:00pm. Cost is $37.00 for the play. The bus will leave the church at 9:30am and we will eat lunch in Montgomery before the play. 

Sunday Night Senior Worship:  5pm in the Fellowship Hall
Traditional Hymn Singing. Teaching led by John Lasater, Worship led by Bryan Peacock. (We will not meet on Oct. 7 and Oct. 28)

Homebound Ministry
Caring for the Saints at home or in the Nursing Home. Wednesday, October 10, at 10:00am in Room C100. 

Senior Adult Fitness Class
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00am. The Monday and Friday classes meet in the Fellowship Hall and the Wednesday class meets in the Multipurpose Room.

Counseling Ministry

The Next Grace Marriage Class is Oct. 27, 8:30am-3:00pm
Lunch and childcare are provided. Grace Marriage Coaching Facilitators: Kenny and Sarah Carter,  Harry and Sue Gilder, Cecil and Susan Jones, Chris and Jennifer McNeal, Bro.
