A business is born…and thrives

You’re expecting a child, so you…. If you answered, “Start a business,” you might be Kellen Stennett, the owner of The Goddard School of Atlanta (Buckhead), pre-school and daycare.
“I started Goddard when I found out my first child was on the way,” Stennett says. “We have five now, but when Kai was on the way, I began searching for a quality school for him. When I didn't find one, I knew there was an opportunity to create that perfect combo I was looking for.”
The serial entrepreneur located the school in Buckhead because he says it has the best combo of both a city feel and a neighborhood vibe, with great proximity to everything. Wonderful neighborhoods, easy highway access, excellent surrounding businesses. (As Hyperion is located in the same business complex, we’d say we have to agree with his assessment!)
Not only do he and his family love Buckhead: “We LOVE Hyperion,” he says. “The personal attention and care is everything. We feel like we matter, and we know everyone there. It feels like a community when you get to deal with a small bank built on relationships.” And, indeed, it is built on relationships, including the fact that Stennett has banked with more than one of our bankers previously.
“I love seeing the kids every day and knowing that we're greatly enriching their lives as we set them up for success,” he says.

SBA Loans from Hyperion
Delegated Authority for Express Loan Program renewed
|
|
The U.S. Small Business Administration has renewed Hyperion Bank’s Delegated Authority status for the SBA 7(a) Express Loan Program. That special status enables Hyperion to streamline the approval and closing process on loans up to $350,000 for small business customers.
“It gives our team another valuable tool to meet new customers and aid existing customers as part of our continuing commitment to serve small businesses in our community,” says our President & COO, Lou DeCesare.
The program guidelines let eligible small businesses get term loans for important needs like real estate and equipment purchases or for improvements to their facilities, or the loan can provide a source of working capital via a revolving line of credit.

Work on our new Atlanta location continues (as you can see!). It’s moving along well, so we expect our move from Bldg 6 to Bldg 5 (within the same quad in Piedmont Center in Buckhead) to happen in Q4. We’ll have designated parking spots for you just outside the door. Of course, you can continue to partner with your community bank online or wherever you and your Hyperion team member like to meet.
