Oldcastle Precast has been selected as the recipient of the Washington State 2015 Fleet Safety Award -- Private Carrier (under 5 million miles) by the Washington Trucking Association, with the American Trucking Association, and the Washington State Patrol.
  • Completing 2015 without a single federal recordable accident, Oldcastle Precast's delivery truck fleet was recognized for their commitment to safety. This safety award is determined annually by a comprehensive review conducted by the Washington State Patrol.
  • Oldcastle Precast's Director or Transportation and Fleet Safety Joe Dilley was selected from a field of his peers, previously nominated by their direct line managers from competing companies.
  • He has served on Washington Trucking Associations' Safety Management Council since 1996, helping to transform highway safety, worked with many agencies related to highway safety, and is currently working with the Washington Department of Transportation on a project to increase truck parking availability in the state of Washington.
Stone building
  • The Museum at Prairiefire had the challenge of bringing a 41,000 sq. ft. massive stone structure in on time and budget, while achieving the structural and aesthetic goals of representing the region's prairie fires.
  • Located in Overland Park, Kansas, it tells a story of geology, culture, and the practice of prairie landscape management through intentional burns.
  • The fire element is represented by a unique dichroic glass film and the stones are in a vast range of colors. The museum features a rotation of exhibits from New York City's American Museum of Natural History.
  • The stonework is a mix of regionally-sourced natural limestone and manufactured stone veneer from Oldcastle's Echelon line. The Museum has won several awards and recently achieved a LEED Silver rating.
  • Because Mother Nature doesn't always have the colors you want in stock and at the right price, "we incorporated four standard Echelon Cordova veneer colors and then worked closely with Oldcastle to create two custom colors."

Oldcastle Honors Inventor, helps him build children's IV wagons
Inventor of Chad_s Bracket standing in front of IV wagons
"The Radio Flyer 2700 model wagons, which feature a specially crafted bracket to support IV poles for hospitalized children, will be packed, shipped and on their way to children's hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Ireland.
100 wagons were constructed as a community service project with Oldcastle Inc., a manufacturer of building materials and supplies.
Oldcastle officials learned of Chad's Bracket through a television interview, and reached out to Children's Healthcare and Roger Leggett. When Leggett arrived at the St. Regis in Buckhead, Georgia for the event, he was greeted by volunteers who presented him with a special gift: Oldcastle had produced a video featuring interviews with people whose lives had been touched by Chad's Bracket wagons."
