FMC Devens Inmate Art
October 3rd to 31st
Reception on October 15th
  6 PM to 8 PM

 Federal Medical Center, Devens
(FMC Devens), is a federal prison in Massachusetts for male inmates requiring long-term medical or mental health care.
It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice.

"The Three Artists" was completed by three separate inmates who challenged one another to complete a drawing using the same subject. FMC Devens has very talented artists who use their abilities to bring a sliver of joy to other inmates and families, while showcasing their accomplishments. Several pieces in this exhibit were created by the inmates who took the Introduction to Drawing course this last year.

At the reception on October 15th
f rom 6 PM to 8 PM the inmates' teacher will be present to answer questions and talk about his students' work

Trick or Treat

It's that time of the year!

eLibrary
Our Book-A-Librarian service allows you to spend up to 30 minutes with one of our friendly knowledgeable librarians who can offer assistance tailored to your needs.

We can help in many ways; typical requests may include:

  • Learn to download eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, or music to your digital device
  • Introduction to the library catalog - how to find a book, a CD or a DVD, place holds, manage your account
  • Researching a topic beyond Google
  • Setting up and using an email account
  • Plus much more...just ask!

Some things we are unable to help with:

  • We do not provide medical, legal or business advice or opinions.
  • We cannot write, type or proofread your documents.
  • We do not offer technical support or troubleshooting except when it relates to library resources.
  • We cannot assist with credit card transactions.

We encourage you to bring your laptop or digital device with you to the library so that we may better help you.

Please call the library at 978.540.2600 to set up an appointment, preferably one week in advance, with a librarian or fill out our online  Book-A-Librarian form.

Due to staff expertise and availability, your request might be declined. We appreciate your understanding.
