October News for our District Partners

More than a month into the new school year and we are pleased to report that engagement is at an all-time high – with more than 500 districts that have signed agreements to participate in Texas College Bridge, and nearly 40,000 students actively taking our free courses!

With this increased volume of interest and activity, we are asking for your assistance this month – and making several requests that will help our small team (Timi and Maria) work more efficiently to help ALL districts get up and running smoothly, as soon as possible.

Need Help with the basics of Texas College Bridge?

If you have basic questions about Texas College Bridge, such as:

  • How do I monitor progress of students taking courses?
  • Where do I find information about the essay assignment?
  • How do I add teacher accounts?

The fastest and easiest way to get answers to basic implementation questions is to watch our new, on demand Video Tutorial Series. We have two sets of video tutorials available, for districts and for teachers.  The tutorials are short (mostly 5-10 minutes per video) and cover all the basic questions, many of which we are currently receiving via email.

Video Tutorials for Teachers

In addition to the video tutorial series, we have extensive support resources and more in-depth video recordings available – for example, about EdReady Student Data and Reporting – on our website and in our online help center

Please help us help you by first checking our online resources and help center prior to emailing us.  Thank you!

New Video Resource: Student TSDS Data NA?

Recently, we have been working with districts to correct student data where TSDS data is missing (marked NA).  Working together, we have been able to find most students in TEA's database and have been able to retrieve the student's TSDS number – by correcting the student’s name and DOB.

To help correct missing TSDS data, we need you to do the following:

  • Filter student data by the TSDS field – showing students with "NA."
  • Update the first name and last name to match the official school record EXACTLY.
  • Check DOB and update if it's incorrect.
  • Delete the TSDS custom field.

To support you with this process, we have created this short demonstration video, walking through the screen shots step by step.
