Apply to represent the United States at this
historic expo, the Middle East's first world fair!
As part of the Global Ties U.S. nationwide network, The International Center is looking for Hoosiers to represent Indiana and America at the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The event will run October 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022.

Are you a U.S. Citizen aged 19-29 who is friendly, energetic and loves to meet new people? You might be the perfect candidate to become a Youth Ambassador!

Do you know a talented performer - including representatives from dance, music, theater, literature, art, food, sports, spoken word, and more - that should represent American culture at the event? Nominate them to be a Cultural Performer!

In 1977, Mayor Hudnut declared October to be "Indy is International Month," a month dedicated to the awareness of the cultural diversity in Indianapolis and in honor of The International Center.

Engaging Across Cultures workshop
New December workshop session added!
Our Engaging Across Cultures workshop is designed to prepare you to succeed in engaging across cultures – whether you’re a seasoned global professional or new to intercultural interactions.

Now offered virtually, this half-day interactive session features guest speakers, experts and staff from The International Center as you learn alongside fellow professionals and internationalists.

This virtual workshop takes place on December 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Welcome, Angela Smith Jones!
The International Center is delighted to announce Angela Smith Jones as the newest member of the board of directors!

Angela is the vice president of diversity and inclusion with Health and Hospital Corp (HHC). She most recently served as deputy mayor for economic development for the city of Indianapolis.
