NEEDHAM COMMUNITY COUNCIL NEWS
Annual Appeal Begins

The increase in food and fuel prices over the summer months has directly impacted our community. Help us continue to feed and support your Needham neighbors with a gift today.

In the words of one of our customers:

"All the services at the Council don't just keep us
going through very hard times, they provide us with
opportunities to get out of those circumstances and
put our best foot forward. I really appreciate it and
can't express in words how thankful I am"

- Food Pantry Customer

Your support of the annual appeal campaign will help give a neighbor a week of food, a Lyft ride to a necessary medical appointment, or access to technology to reduce social isolation.

We're still here and a gift to the Council will directly impact your Needham neighbors in a meaningful way.
Join Our Team of ELL Tutors

Our ELL program is run by volunteers, making connections and developing relationships that are rewarding for both tutor and learner. No need to know the language of your learner, just have a willingness to be welcoming and open to other cultures. We provided training for new tutors and a new training session starts soon, apply to be a tutor below:
Holiday Hours

In order to respect all cultures and religions the Council will be closed:

Wed, Oct 5th for Yom Kippur

Mon, Oct 10th for Indigenous Peoples Day.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2022 Ride for Food. Together we joined 13 other food relief agencies to ride, walk and raise funds to fight food insecurity. You all helped make a difference one step or ride at a time!

Thank you to our Ride for Food partners Direct Federal Credit Union, Needham Congregational Church, Neon Bandits, and Cohen-Miles Insurance!

Why does Tom Brady keep throwing tablets?! Maybe it's because he needs a tech tutor!

Even the GOAT can get frustrated with technology. But, please don't throw your tablet, reach out for help. Our tablet class series has become a fan favorite at the Center at the Heights and is expanding beyond just Fire Tablets!

Check out our new Drop In sessions designed to address basic tech questions.
