Although the end of fall in Alaska seems to arrive all too quickly, it really is a beautiful time. I love all the striking colors of the leaves and even the fresh snow that slowly creeps its way down the Chugach Mountains. This year, I actually feel more prepared than usual with a new snow blower sitting in the garage, brand new studded tires on the car and 3 or so cords of wood split and ready alongside the house.
Our family's favorite part of this time of year is enjoying fires together in the morning before we drive our (now 14-year-old) triplets off to school. They are enrolled in ANSEP which is pretty amazing - allowing them to be enrolled full time at UAA along with many other opportunities.
To make this fall even more exciting, we have added a new Brittany puppy to our lives. She is a little cutie named Grace and, although I was hesitant to get another dog, she has been really good for our family.
As the days get darker and winter really settles in, my hope is that everyone reading this also has a fire to sit around with those they love and maybe even a puppy curled up on their lap.
Have a wonderful fall and God Bless,
Joe Law
