Home Builders Blitz 2019
Thanks to our local partners at the Home Builders  &  Remodelers  Association of  Cape Cod , (HBRACC) who worked together in September to build a Habitat home in 5 days. FUNDRAISING
Congratulations to the winner of our 2019 Kayak Raffle, David Sears of Brewster! Enjoy your beautiful new Kayak!

The winning ticket was pulled by Joshua King and his brother Jackson on Sunday at the Wellfleet Oysterfest.

We are very thankful to all who participated in this fundraiser for Habitat Cape Cod.

We owe a very special thanks to Pat Taylor and Bill Witmer for once again creating and promoting such a special fundraiser to support our mission to build homes, hope, lives and community on Cape Cod.
The 2nd Annual Ride for Homes on Sunday, September 22nd welcomed 96 riders and raised nearly $70,000! 

Thank you to the riders, volunteers and sponsors.

The top 5 fundraisers were... Nick Harmansky, Ed Ebert, Peter Soule, Brad Boyd and Jim Doherty. 

We also welcomed teams from Shepley Wood Products, Mid-Cape Home Centers, The Rotary Clubs of Cape Cod and Oceanside Restoration.

TOWN NEWS
Currently Scheduled Town Presentations:

Chatham, George Ryder Road South (2 homes) :  Monday, November 18th at 6 p.m. Board of Selectmen Meeting Appearance. https://www.chatham-ma.gov/board-selectmen  Shareen Davis, Chairman. [email protected] Local Initiative Program (LIP) application presentation. The LIP application is the first step in the 40B Comprehensive Permitting process.  We are seeking the Board of Selectmen's support for our application to Department of Housing and Community Development.  We plan to take the project to ZBA (Zoning Board of Appeals) this winter.

We appreciate your support at our public presentations.  If you cannot appear in person, you might consider writing a letter to a Board’s Chair.  Please note that appearances and hearing dates may be subject to change. If you plan to attend in person, please double check the town website and/or email Beth Wade at [email protected] to confirm our appearance.  

Update on a past ZBA appearance:

Wellfleet, Old Kings Highway (4 homes): The ZBA approved our application on July 11th. On August 6 th the abutters appealed the ZBA’s decision. Our Attorney is preparing our response.  We will share additional information as it becomes available.

The walls have been raised and trusses are in place, the roof has been sheathed and the interior framing is underway.

All walls have been raised and trusses are in place for 7 homes, (one home was a Blitz and was completed in September.) The sheathing is complete on two homes and most of the sheathing is complete on the rest of the homes. Interior framing is underway.
