Little, Alex, and Big, Corey, were matched virtually through Zoom in 2021. At the time, Alex was a 1st grader and Corey was a Junior at the College of the Holy Cross. In addition to volunteering as a Big, Corey was also captain of the Track and Field team. At the start of their match, Alex and Corey would meet virtually every Friday afternoon. They spent time watching STEM-related videos, playing online games, and having great conversations. Once the pandemic guidelines changed, Alex and Corey were able to meet in person for the first time! Once meeting in person, the duo enjoyed making arts & crafts, playing board games, and building planes and cars out of Legos. This past Spring, Corey graduated college. Our staff are busy matching new college students with Littles this Fall and we can't wait to meet our new matches!

We'd like to give a special shout-out to a new partner of ours, Workers Credit Union. Workers Credit Union and BBBS shares parts of our two service areas in Central Mass. We recently learned about the Workers Kindness program in which members direct the charitable giving through a voting system. We were so honored to learn that the members voted to support BBBS with a gift of $5,625! Workers also sponsored our teams at the Rodman Ride for Kids last month. We thank them for their generous support!
