Recap: Pairings with Alpha "Sip & Shop" Annual Meeting

Pairings with Alpha is an annual event to thank and recognize our members and partners during our annual meeting. This year’s theme, “Sip & Shop” showcased Alpha’s retail store which was started in 2024. The store, BINABLE,, strives to empower individuals towards independence and success through inclusive employment solutions.

This year's Pairings event was held at The Alpha Group's Delaware office where guests toured our refreshed Integrated Adult Day space and shopped at BINABLE.

Guests also enjoyed live music provided by In a Jam Band and food and beverage samples from Smash Shack Burgers, Dogs and Wings, Local Roots, Outback Steakhouse, Old Dog Alehouse & Brewery, Whit’s Frozen Custard of Delaware, Meijer and COSTCO Polaris.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION WEEK

This special week takes place every September. It is a time to recognize and celebrate Direct Support Professionals who provide essential services and support to people with disabilities.

This year, some of our DSPs had the opportunity to attend the Ohio Alliance of Direct Support Professionals - OADSP Recognition event in honor of National DSP Appreciation Week. Among the 400 DSPs in attendance, the following Alpha employees attended: Ashley Karas, Rebecca Tuggle, Sara Robison, Brian Benner, and Katelyn Rausch. We're so proud of our DSPs and the dedication they bring to their work every day.

The Alpha Group also hosted it's annual employee training day and provided breakfast and a new Alpha shirt for all of their employees.

MEMBER UPDATES

Annual Animal & Me 4-H Show

The Delaware County 4-H and Delaware County Fair once again provided the opportunity for 4-H youth to work with The Alpha Group for a show called Animal & Me. The Westerville Integrated Adult Day Program participated in this year's show. Each ADS member was paired with a 4-H youth. This partnership allows members of Alpha to be involved in a unique experience and gain life skills such as communication and confidence. 4-H members benefit from the partnership by enhancing their leadership skills and growing a better understanding of diverse needs.
