In Conversation with the Veteran's Land Board
This month I met with Mallory Morris, of the Texas Veterans Land Board, to talk about the different programs and the resources for our veterans here in Texas.

The Texas Veterans Land Board provides the most robust state benefits package in the nation for Texas Veterans, Military Members, and their families.

C.L.E.A.T. Remembrance Walk
Earlier this month, I had the honor of attending the CLEAT Remembrance Walk for the officers who have succumbed to COVID-19. Our walk ended at the Peace Officers' Memorial Monument on our State Capitol Grounds. Hearing the stories about the loved ones lost is something that I will carry with me as we head into session. No matter one's profession, Texas must step up to protect our communities.

I look forward to continuing the work that needs to be done next legislative session.

Project Orang3 Community
Clean Up
Our District Office helped a local organization, Operation Orang3, partner up with Richardson Parks and Rec to begin a series of local community clean-ups.

The first community clean up was at Huffhines Park, picking up trash and debris all along Huffhines Creek. The drive these young ladies had to serve their community was one that will influence and benefit future generations. Thank you, Project Orang3, for leading the way!

Remembering Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the second woman to ever serve in the United States Supreme Court, serving from 1993 until her death this month. During her time in the Supreme Court, and throughout her career, she was a pioneer for gender equality.

Many of us see her as a role model. Her dedication to justice, equality, and respect will continue to inspire lives for decades to come. If you have not yet updated your voter registration or need to register to vote for the first time, please visit dallascountyvotes.com
