2023 Stake the Lake was a HUGE Success!

THANK YOU ALGER COUNTY!

September 16th was a beautiful Fall day for our Charity Walk in which we honor survivors and remember those we have lost.

This year we registered 402 participants and had approximately 340 walkers. Through our sponsorships, donations, registrations, day of events, etc. we raised $26,000 all for our Michigan projects.

We would like to give special thanks to Sue and Dave Passinault and Karen Maxon for all they do to make STL happen year after year.

"I'd also like to thank our sponsors, supporters and all those that participated for their continued support and belief in us. It's truly neighbors helping neighbors. Alger County Strong!"- Danielle

Please visit our website to see our AMAZING sponsors.

Volunteer Spotlight

Meet our Karen's!

Karen Boor (right) and Karen Fallon (left) are simply amazing.

This dynamic duo began co-chairing Hope for the Holidays back in 2019. Over the past 4+ years, they have grown this program into our pinnacle event.

"This event is the essence of what The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation is working to give these patients: love, support & care," Karen Boor.

Through the years we have served over 700 patients, 600 children and 100 caregivers with this program. We provide financial and social support to these patients and their families by giving them grocery gift cards for Thanksgiving meals. Additionally, with the help from volunteers, we provide the patients with large holiday gift carts filled with toiletries, household necessities, gifts, gift cards and other items to help them celebrate during this time in their lives.

Karen Fallon stated, "my memory of the patients' smiles are what comes to mind when I think of our Hope for the Holidays event."
