Premier Farm Credit’s cooperative structure helps it fulfill the critical mission of supporting rural communities and agriculture with their credit needs. While Premier Farm Credit represents six counties including Logan in northeast Colorado, it is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System that started in 1916 to provide reliable and consistent credit and related services to support the needs of American farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.
Premier Farm Credit business is a lending-cooperative meaning is wholly owned by our borrowers who are farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses in northeast Colorado. These customers have a share in their institution’s success. Premier Farm Credit has aggregate loan volume of over $1 billion.
Chris Hornung was named CEO at the end of 2024 and brought 20 years of Farm Credit experience with him. His tenured team offers experience and is available to help anyone needing ag financing or related services.
