Personal Assistive Devices

We currently have a large number of scooters, some electric wheelchairs and a variety of other Assistive Devices available. The equipment is free of charge and needs to go out to those in the community that cannot afford it.

Individuals looking for equipment are required to fill out a form found on our website thereafter someone from our team will get in contact with you.

Disability Employment Awareness Month

This is Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai, the worlds first congenitally blind biomedical research scientist. Dr. Sukhai fast tracked through high school and entered university at the age of 15. Despite the countless complications and struggles Dr. Sukhai leads a significant research program focused on social determinants of health and inclusion for people living with sight loss in Canada.

Vivian Berkeley is a two-time World Blind Lawn Bowling Champion who is recognized as the greatest Canadian athlete of all time in her category. Throughout her 21-year career, she’s won 60 total medals (17 at the international level, 21 national golds, and 22 provincial golds).

Additionally, Vivian is helping to build her sport for people who are blind and living with vision loss in Canada and Internationally.

Accessible or Not?

Watch this video to learn about how important it is for people in wheelchairs and scooters to have proper accessible parking. Lack of proper parking in the right location can put them at risk or restricts access to their vehicle. Accessible parking isn't about convenience, it's a requirement.
