It's Flavors of Bedford Time
We would like to offer you the opportunity to promote and showcase your firm as part of Flavors of Bedford. This grand community event will be held on November 6 from 4-6 pm. The Flavors of Bedford is an afternoon of elegance, fine dining, and a chance to mingle with people from all over Town.  Nibble and nosh your way through while sampling the very best in appetizers, entrees, and desserts from area restaurants.  Enjoy a glass of wine from the bar, or a cup of delicious coffee while listening to music provided by Ricky Rat Pack. It's the very essence of Bedford and what makes us such a great place to live and work. Your sponsorship makes it possible to bring the event to town, while offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your business in Bedford and you get tickets to the event to use yourself or give to clients. It's a win-win!

Chestnut Dental

                                                                                                                             Chestnut Dental
41 North Road, Bedford, MA
We love our patients! Chestnut Dental is a small, privately owned pediatric, orthodontic and adult dental practice that began in Needham in 1970. In 1999 we opened an office in Franklin, and in 2016 we joined the Bedford community with an office on North Road across from Bedford Farms.
What makes us different?
  • Many of our specialists were trained at Harvard Dental School and Boston Children's Hospital.
  • We are open when you need us! We are open evenings and Saturdays, and offer all patients
24-hour emergency care.
  • Coordination of care between specialists. Chestnut Dental dentists treat patients together across specialties, allowing us to provide the highest quality care with fewer appointments.
  • Latest technology: Low-radiation digital X-rays and 3-D mouth scans instead of impressions.
Pediatric Dentists
In addition to routine dental cleanings, sealants, and fillings our pediatric denists have two years of advanced training in children with special health care needs, children with anxiety requiring specialized behavior management techniques or nitrous oxide, and children sustaining dental trauma.
Dr. Anne Hertzberg
Dr. Hertzberg is a second generation dentist at Chestnut Dental- her father was the first orthodontist in the practice in 1977! She is the immediate past president of the Massachusetts Association of Pediatric Dentists, Harvard trained and teaches at Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Kathleen McCafferty
Dr. McCafferty is a highly skilled pediatric dentist who received her college, dental school, and pediatric dental degrees from Harvard. She is also an accomplished athlete, having played Division I soccer and ice hockey for the Harvard Crimson.
Adult and Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Sharon Jin is a Harvard trained prosthodontist. She completed a three-year residency following dental school to obtain advanced training in cosmetic dentistry. In addition to routine cleanings, fillings, and whitening, she is specially trained to do complex dental treatments, including crowns, bridges, veneers and implants.
Dr. Adam Donnell is a Board Certified orthodontist who specializes in braces and Invisalign for both children and adults. He is also Harvard trained and recently received the Anthony Gianelly award from the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists and teaches orthodontics at Harvard.
We look forward to meeting you!

 Business Development Updates
  • Tony Fields is the new planning director. He was the planning director for Billerica for the past 3 years and spent about 20 years as the Director of planning for Burlington. He was involved with both 3rd Avenue and The District in Burlington
  • RKG Associates, Inc will be the consultant for the The Great Road Business District re-zoning project and work should start shortly. Jeff to look in to getting a representative from the Chamber to be involved in the process.

Economic Development Town of Bedford

The Bedford Dash shuttle service has started. For businesses, this includes a lunch time shuttle from the Crosby Drive area to downtown Bedford on Fridays.

Several new businesses have moved in to Bedford including Ocular Therapeutics on Crosby Drive, another technology company in to 201 Burlington Road and a mental health company in to 205 Burlington Road.

A survey will soon be sent out to town residents and others regarding what types of businesses they would like to see as part of The Great Road Business District re-zoning project.

Stuff a Truck
The  Stuff a Truck program will be held on October 1st in conjunction with recycling day at the DPW. The idea is for residents and businesses to stuff a truck with donated items they no longer need like furniture and toys for a local charity.

This has now been confirmed for December 3rd. Will be similar to the one last year except that food will not be served in old town hall and it will end at 7pm which is an hour earlier.

At our last meeting we discussed about adding a lot of history and favorite places in Bedford that are not well publicized in review sites like Trip Advisor and Yelp to significantly increase tourism. Adam to contact Ralph Hammond to see about getting the review process going.

For example compare Lexington - with Bedford -
