SUDDs Coalition Member Spotlight

Pictured: Anita Rothert

For 20 years, Anita has been an outstanding member of TGC in the Prevention Department and the SUDDs coalition. She does wonderful work by providing a variety of support services to parents and grandparents raising grandchildren. Working with the Kinship coalition, she has been able to make strides with legislation to help grandparents as caregivers. Anita has pioneered the Downriver Healthy Senior Expo as a way to provide access to resources for seniors.

The mission of the SUDDS Coalition is to prevent underage drinking and drug use in the Downriver community.

The SUDDs Coalition consists of community members from local schools, law enforcement, city government, faith-based groups, businesses, hospitals, and many other organizations. The SUDDs Coalition is supported by The Guidance Center and funded through the Drug Free Communities Support Program.
