October 2025

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a reminder that supporting survivors is a responsibility we share as a community. Together, we can honor survivors, remember lives lost, and take action to build safer, more supportive spaces for healing.

This month, we’re proud to launch our Survivor Resiliency Fund: a community promise to stand with survivors. The fund provides immediate, flexible support for urgent needs like housing, childcare, counseling, and transportation—needs that traditional funding often cannot cover.

In addition to launching our new fund, we have also launched our Survivor Resiliency Fund Merch Shop! To help fuel this lifeline, we’ve also opened the Survivor Resiliency Fund Shop! Each week, we’ll showcase a new shirt, with every purchase directly supporting the resilience and healing of survivors.

On October 6, we gathered with the West Jordan Police Department to mark the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Together, we created a powerful display at Veterans Memorial Park: 1,229 flags representing the domestic violence calls received by the West Jordan Police Department in the previous year, and 520 pinwheels symbolizing the survivors who found shelter through our services.

At the press conference, our Executive Director Lindsey Boyer, along with Board Member and Executive Officer to the WJ Police Chief Gary Cox, joined other representatives from the WJ Police Department to emphasize the importance of uniting as a community to support survivors and raise awareness.

Thank you to our volunteers and partners who helped bring this event to life. This moving display reminds us that while the numbers are sobering, hope and resilience are possible when we come together.
