Local Teams. Compassionate Support. Around-the-Clock Access. | Behavioral health needs don't follow a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither do we. At MiraVista and TaraVista, our local, onsite intake teams are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week—including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Whether you're an individual seeking help, a concerned family member, or a referral partner looking to connect someone with care, our teams are here to answer questions, provide guidance, and help navigate the next steps. Because knowing where to turn matters, no matter the day or hour. |

OUR PEOPLE, GROWING TOGETHER | A New Chapter for John Raymer
After retiring from the police force in 2021, John Raymer began a new chapter in helping others. He joined MiraVista as a Mental Health Counselor while continuing his education, earning his master’s degree in 2025.
Today, John serves as a Group Therapist, helping patients recognize their strengths and develop skills they can carry forward.
“After graduating, my dream was to become a group therapist, and I am incredibly grateful that MiraVista has given me the opportunity to make that dream a reality.”

Meet Marcia Hurley, Benefits & Leave Manager
Behind every team dedicated to caring for others, are people equally committed to caring for that team.
For Marcia Hurley, that commitment is at the heart of her work. Since joining TaraVista in 2022, Marcia has been a trusted resource for employees, helping them navigate life's changes, challenges, and sometimes unexpected circumstances with compassion, understanding, and reassurance.
Now serving as Benefits & Leave Manager for The Vistas, Marcia believes that supporting employees is another important way of supporting the patients and families who depend on us.
We're delighted to introduce Marcia in our latest I'm Team Tara Spotlight and share what makes her proud to be part of Team Tara.

This month, we are excited to celebrate a significant milestone for The Vistas Behavioral Health Centers—TaraVista's 10th Anniversary!
Since opening our doors in November 2016, TaraVista has grown into a trusted resource for children, adolescents, adults, and families seeking compassionate, high-quality behavioral health care.
Inpatient psychiatric care is lifesaving work, and we are incredibly honored to have supported thousands of patients of all ages and their loved ones through some of life's most difficult moments.
Our founder, Dr. Michael P. Krupa, envisioned TaraVista as a hospital purpose-built for healing—bright, safe, and designed for both connection and privacy. Ten years later, that vision continues to inspire our work every day.
This milestone is also a celebration of the people who make it all possible—our dedicated Team Tara and the many community partners who work alongside us, including the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, hospitals, schools, and behavioral health practitioners. Together, we share a commitment to bringing hope and healing to individuals and families when they need it most.
Thank you for being part of our first decade. We look forward to all that we can accomplish together in the years ahead.

A Dose of Recognition—and a Heartfelt Thank-You
This Pharmacy Week, we celebrated our MiraVista pharmacy team and the care, attention, and kindness they bring to their work every day. From reviewing medications to answering questions and collaborating with clinical teams, they help make patient care safer and more personal.
To our pharmacy colleagues: thank you for supporting our patients and staff. Your work matters, and you are appreciated.

Halloween at MiraVista & TaraVista
| | |
Behind those smiles are the compassionate people who welcome, support and care for individuals and families during some of life's most difficult moments.
We know reaching out for help isn't always easy and we hope these glimpses of our teams offer a little reassurance that here, there are real people, with warm hearts, friendly smiles and a genuine commitment to caring.
Enjoy a few highlights from our Halloween festivities, and thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable!
| | RECOGNIZING EVERYDAY EXCELLENCE | | |
A smile. A helping hand. A colleague you can count on. Congratulations to MiraVista’s latest SHOU-TEE Award winner, Dinh “Annee” Nguyen!
Nominated by colleague Sherri Fitzgerald, Annee brings kindness, patience, and teamwork to every shift. Whether staying beyond her shift to help with admission paperwork or supporting colleagues during busy moments, she keeps patients’ needs at the heart of her work.
Thank you, Sherri, for recognizing a colleague who makes a difference. And Annee, thank you for bringing so much heart to your work. Never lose your sparkle!
| | | THE VISTAS IN OUR COMMUNITY | Important Conversations, Stronger Communities | |
MiraVista and TaraVista joined the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Connection luncheon for “Safe Spaces,” a discussion recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The conversation explored abuse beyond physical violence—including emotional, financial, and digital abuse, as well as coercive control—and how we can help people feel safe, supported, and heard.
Thank you to Lesly Borges of the Leominster Police Department; Maria Cintron and Luiza Camelo of the Spanish American Center; and emcee Rosa Rivera for guiding this important discussion.
The Vistas are proud to be at the table—to listen, learn, and strengthen the community partnerships that support compassionate care.

Kratom: Effects, Risks & Realities
Readily available doesn’t always mean safe. In this video, Dr. Karl Liebermann, MiraVista’s addiction medicine physician, explains kratom’s effects, potential risks, and what people should understand about dependence and withdrawal.
For individuals experiencing kratom withdrawal, MiraVista’s addiction services team can help manage symptoms, provide clinical support, and discuss appropriate next steps in care.
You don’t have to know exactly what kind of help you need. Start with a conversation.

As the Seasons Change, How Are You Feeling?
Shorter days, shifting routines, and more time indoors can bring changes in how we feel. You may notice less energy, changes in sleep, or feelings of anxiety or sadness.
Take a moment to check in with yourself and the people you care about. Asking for support is always okay.
At MiraVista and TaraVista, we’re here for individuals, families, and providers when mental health needs become more serious and additional support is needed.
Your emotional well-being matters every season.

During a stop at a local coffee shop, our Vice President of Food Services received an unexpected compliment. Noticing the MiraVista and TaraVista names on his chef’s jacket, a staff member said:
“I’ve heard good things about them.”
It was a brief exchange with a meaningful reminder: the impact of our work reaches beyond our hospital walls through patients, families, community relationships, and the stories people share.
Every member of our teams contributes to that reputation. Sometimes, a simple cup of coffee reminds us just how much our work matters.
