The Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center

Did you know that NOVA operates the Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center (CAC)?

The CAC is a child-friendly space where a multidisciplinary team can come together to investigate allegations of abuse. The CAC is trauma-informed and allows children to share their experience one time, in a safe place, using their own words. Children meet with a Forensic Interviewer who is specially trained to speak with children in a child-friendly, developmentally sensitive, legally sound manner.

The CAC ensures the child and family is supported throughout the investigative process and provides for an efficient use of community resources to support the protection and healing of the child.

Spooky and Sustainable: Crafting the Perfect DIY Halloween Costume from Thrifted Treasures

This Halloween, why buy a brand-new costume when you can create something unique, sustainable, and budget-friendly? At NOVA Thrift Shop, you'll find an array of clothing and accessories perfect for crafting your one-of-a-kind look. The possibilities are endless when you shop at NOVA Thrift! Not only will you wow everyone with your creativity, but you’ll also help reduce waste. Need some help sparking your creativity? Read on!

Vintage Ghost: Grab an old-fashioned white nightgown or sheet from the shop and cut holes for eyes. Top it off with a wide-brim hat or funky sunglasses for a classic, haunted look.

'80s Rock Star: Look for bold, brightly colored blazers, leather jackets, or anything with sequins. Pair with ripped jeans, chunky boots, and thrifted accessories like oversized sunglasses or belts to channel an iconic ‘80s rocker.

Fortune Teller: Find a long flowy skirt or dress, layer on scarves, shawls, and big costume jewelry from the accessories section. Add a headscarf and carry a thrifted crystal ball (or something round and shiny), and you’re set!
