We're Always Accepting New Volunteers! Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? NOVA Thrift Shop is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference! Whether you love sorting unique thrift finds, organizing displays, assisting customers, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can inquire at the shop or call Maria White, Thrift Shop Manager, at 215-249-8000.

A Reminder Regarding Donations: We’re always grateful for donations and encourage donors to consider the condition of their items, especially hard goods. While we can recycle textiles, unsellable hard goods ultimately need to be disposed of, which impacts our resources. Please note that items with cracks, chips, or other damage can’t be resold. We have the right to reject items if broken, damaged, or heavily soiled.

For the safety of our team, we also kindly ask that if you're donating a heavy item, please bring someone along to help with lifting. We also ask that individual bags of clothing weigh no more than 30 pounds each.

Be sure to check out our donation guidelines to see what we can and cannot accept! Thank you for your generosity and for helping us provide quality items to our community.

Supporting Children with Passion and Care at NOVA

At NOVA, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. Through a range of specialized services, we work to protect children from harm and help them heal from trauma with dignity and care.

The Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center, operated by NOVA, provides a child-centered space where children who have experienced abuse can share their stories with a compassionate, coordinated team of professionals. This process minimizes additional trauma and ensures each child receives the support they need from the very beginning.

Our Prevention Education programs reach thousands of students each year, teaching age-appropriate lessons on personal safety, boundaries, and respect.

NOVA also offers trauma-informed counseling, creating a safe space for children to express emotions and begin the healing process in a way that feels natural and comforting. Additionally, our dedicated victim advocates walk alongside families every step of the way, offering guidance, resources, and unwavering support.

Together, these services form a circle of care that helps children not just survive, but thrive.

Scary Fast Fashion: Why Thrifting is the Sustainable Choice for Spooky Season

Halloween is one of the most exciting times of the year, but it can also be one of the most wasteful. Each October, millions of costumes are bought new, worn once, and then tossed aside, feeding into the scary cycle of fast fashion. At NOVA Thrift Shop, we believe there's a better way!

Thrifting your Halloween costume is not only budget-friendly... it's also a creative and sustainable choice. No matter the costume you may be piecing together, thrifting your costume helps reduce waste and gives pre-loved items new life.

And when spooky season is over? If you don't plan to wear your costume again, consider donating back to NOVA Thrift Shop. Your donation supports the NOVA mission, keeps clothing out of landfills, and gives someone else the chance to enjoy that costume next year!

This Halloween, skip the fast fashion fright and choose thrifting for a sustainable, stylish, and spooky season!

Settle the controversial debate! Candy corn: yay or nay? Tell us your opinion and you'll be entered to win a $10 NOVA Thrift Gift Card!

Entries are due by 10/10/2025 and one winner will be chosen at random. The winner will be notified via email and sent their virtual gift card. To enter this month's giveaway, CLICK HERE!
