Kentucky Chamber Foundation Releases 20 Years in the Making: Kentucky’s Workforce Crisis Report
“Kentucky’s workforce challenges are exceptional, but they did not suddenly emerge in the age of COVID-19,” said the report’s author Kentucky Chamber Senior Policy Analyst Charles Aull, PhD. “Rather, they have been building and holding back our economy for at least two decades. There is no one singular cause of these challenges. Instead, the causes are many, and the solutions must be, as well.”

Attorney General Daniel Cameron
Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron visited Maysville and spoke with local leaders, business owners, and local law enforcement on his work in the AG office.
State of the Community
We hosted Mason County Judge Executive Owen McNeill and Maysville Mayor Debra Cotterill for the annual State of the Community event.
Both officials gave updates on our community over the last year and discussed their plans for the future.

KCCE Excellence Awards
The Maysville-Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce received the Excellence in Public Policy/Advocacy Award from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Kentucky Career Center Reopens
The Maysville KCC (located inside the Kenton Commonwealth Center) has reopened to public traffic.
Job-seeker, career, and training services are available 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday.
Please note that unemployment insurance support is not available at this location.
Business Service Coordinator Hired at KCC
Sarah Gallenstein recently replaced Victor McKay as the Business Service Coordinator for the KY Career Center in Maysville, KY. Sarah Gallenstein graduated from Morehead State University with her Bachelors of Arts degree in June 2013 and recently earned a certificate in Human Resource Management from Eastern Kentucky University in April 2021.
Sarah previously worked for Lowe’s in Maysville, KY as an Administrative Assistant for two years before taking this position. She’s been with the Career Center since August 2021 and has been working with various employers and job seekers to help bridge the gap and help them find success.

Locally, the Buffalo Trace District Health Department is administering vaccines on Fridays 8AM-3PM.
