$7.5 Million Has Been Awarded to the San Rafael Energy Research Facility
The Emery County Commissioner are proud to announce the additional funding that they have been awarded to expand the San Rafael Energy Research Facility. In late 2019 the Permanent Community Impact Fund Board (CIB) funded the coal combustion research facility. Now with most recently approved funding from the CIB of approximately $7.5 million the facility will expand to add molten salts and medical isotopes research and development. Read More
Utah Coal Country Strike Team Funds Carbon And Emery Counties

The Utah Coal Country Strike Team has funded Carbon and Emery Counties a total of $75,000 with $37,500 to each county. The funding is intended to be used for tourism related projects. Projects include:
  • Part-time Tourism specialist
  • Google business assistance w/ Truly 360
  • Matching funds for a Utah Office of Tourism grant
  • Destination Development Planning
  • Kiosk Construction
