October 2026

“My Fight. Your Fight. Our Fight.

We’re Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink. It is about honoring survivors and thrivers, remembering those we have lost, encouraging early detection, and standing beside individuals and families whose lives have been touched by this disease. Every story shared, every encouraging word, and every act of kindness reminds us of the strength and compassion of a caring community.

On Friday, October 23, 2026, we invite you to join us for our annual Paint the Town Pink celebration. This year’s theme, “My Fight, Your Fight. Our Fight. We’re Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” reflects the heart of our mission and the spirit of the community we proudly serve. Cancer does not affect just one individual; it touches families, friends, coworkers, and entire communities. Whether you are facing a diagnosis, supporting a loved one, celebrating survivorship, or honoring someone’s memory, we are all connected in this fight. When one of our neighbors is struggling, we come together to offer hope, encouragement, and a helping hand. That is what Neighbors Helping Neighbors is all about.

Our Paint the Town Pink celebration is an opportunity to stand united, celebrate life, recognize courage, and remind those affected by breast cancer that they are never alone. To our community partners, sponsors, volunteers, healthcare professionals, survivors, thrivers, and faithful supporters, THANK YOU! Your generosity, dedication, and compassion make it possible for the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition to continue providing cancer education, outreach, screening initiatives, advocacy, and patient navigation services throughout our communities.

As we observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I encourage everyone to prioritize their health, stay informed about recommended cancer screenings, and encourage family members and friends to do the same. Early detection can save lives, and awareness is one of our greatest tools in the fight against cancer. Thank you, West Central Georgia, for your unwavering support, generosity, and commitment to our mission. You continue to demonstrate what it truly means to be neighbors helping neighbors. Let’s come together on October 23rd and Paint the Town Pink as we celebrate courage, honor hope, and stand united in the fight against breast cancer. Because at the end of the day, “My Fight, Your Fight. Our Fight. We’re Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”
