The latest issue of our newsletter explores the NJ Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Standard for Dune Stabilization, which outlines methods for building and protecting dunes with vegetation, fencing, and other practices. Learn how healthy dunes not only safeguard our shorelines but also provide habitat for unique species like the American Oystercatcher, Saltmarsh Sparrow, Dune Tiger Beetle, and Seabeach Amaranth.

Student Helps Certify Jackson Liberty HS as "Jersey-Friendly"

Recent Jackson Liberty High School graduate Ava Bocchiaro (pictured sixth from left), reflects on her role in helping the school earn its Jersey-Friendly Yards certification. As an active member of the Environmental Club, led by science teacher, Ted Werner (pictured second from left), Ava combined her love of plants with the school's vision for an outdoor classroom. Guided by Jersey-Friendly Yards resources and the EarthEcho International Water Challenge Ambassador Program, she brought her dream of a thriving native plant garden to life on campus.
