Bakery Science Club Attends American Baker's Association Technical Conference

Bunting Magnetics Co. Visits Campus
Bunting Magnetics Co.   paid a visit to the Feed Tech II students. They covered different types of magnets and metal detection used in food processing facilities. There were live demos on magnet testing and detection calibration.
Awards and Recognitions
Jon Faubion
Dr. Jon Faubion received the William F. Geddes Memorial Award at the AACCI 2018 Annual Meeting.
The William F. Geddes Memorial Award was created in 1961 to honor the zeal and unselfish industry of an individual member and to emphasize the importance of his or her contributions to the work of the society.
Kaliramesh Siliveru
Dr. Kaliramesh Siliveru was awarded the 2018 Penny Travel Award. The award is a travel grant for professionals to attend the AACCI Annual Meeting.

The purpose of the award is to recognize AACCI members who are new in their professional careers and who will become the next generation of leaders in the field of grain science and technology.
Fran Churchill

Alumni Spotlight
Cristina Law was inspired to join the Peace Corps after Dr. Sajid Alavi and Dr. Nina Lilya organized a two-week study abroad trip to Mozambique and South Africa. 

Since arriving in Zambia and working with local Zambians, she has been able to teach women's groups about nutrition and increase food diversity, which has ultimately led to food security.
