Friends and Alumni Golf Tournament

Despite the rain, we had an excellent turnout for the Friends and Alumni Golf Tournament!

We want to extend a special thanks to our donors that make this all possible. We raised a total of $18,825.30 from the event and all proceeds will be going toward purchasing educational equipment and facility renovations for the feed science program. Click here for photos from the tournament .

Path to Milling Excellence

We celebrated the official opening of the Path to Milling Excellence this month , which was generously donated by Grain Craft . The pathway is located between the IGP Institute and the Hal Ross Flour Mill. The next time you are in town, be sure to swing by and check it out!

IBIE's Student Immersion Program

Several of our students were selected to participant in IBIE's Student Immersion Program. Learn more about the program and see what our students had to say about their experience here.

Feed Science Club Facility Visits

The Feed Science Club traveled to Iowa to tour a new Kent Nutrition facility in Sheldon as well as a new co-op in Pomeroy.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Logan Nolting, Zach Stuchlik, Kent Nolting and Andy Ingold for their assistance and support on the trip.

Awards and Recognitions

Professors of Practice

We would like to congratulate instructors Fran Churchill and Huseyin Dogan on being named Professors of Practice on 12-month appointments. These positions have been added by the department to recognize the industrial experience for non-tenure track professionals.

Upcoming Events

Feeding Your Future

On February 8, 2020, we will be hosting a free , hands-on event for high school students.

The event will be packed with activities showcasing the different areas of bakery, feed and milling science. The discovery day will be led by current K-State students in grain science, with aid from faculty and staff.
